Community Guidelines
Last updated: October 13, 2026
Spoor is built for hunters, outfitters, and the people who hunt with them. These rules apply to everything you post — photos, video, trip reports, comments, and messages. Breaking them can get content removed or an account suspended.
Post legal, ethical hunting only
- Only share hunts that were legal where they happened, with the required licenses and tags.
- No poaching, hunting out of season, trespassing, or taking protected species — and no content that encourages it.
- Respect fair chase and the animal. Field photos are welcome; content that mocks or glorifies suffering is not.
Firearms and weapons
- Showing your rifle, bow, or gear is fine.
- No selling, trading, or arranging transfers of firearms, ammunition, or weapon parts through Spoor.
- No instructions for illegal modifications, and no unsafe handling shown as something to copy.
Respect people and places
- No harassment, threats, hate speech, or personal attacks — including toward non-hunters.
- Don’t post someone else’s private information or photos without their permission.
- Think before sharing exact locations. Don’t reveal private land, other people’s hunting spots, or the locations of sensitive or protected wildlife.
Keep it honest
- No fake reviews of outfitters, guides, or gear, and no impersonating someone else.
- Disclose if you’re paid or sponsored to promote something.
- No spam or unrelated advertising.
Only post what you own
Post only photos and video you took or have permission to use. See our Copyright Policy for how to report stolen content.
Reporting
To report a photo, a message, or a person, email [email protected] with a screenshot and the name of the trip. We review reports within 24 to 48 hours and act on content that breaks these rules. Reports are confidential. On an outfitter’s trip, the organizer can also remove anyone from the trip.
What happens if rules are broken
Depending on how serious it is, we may remove content, issue a warning, suspend posting, or permanently ban an account. We may report illegal activity, such as poaching, to the appropriate wildlife authorities.
