Account Deletion Policy

Last updated: October 13, 2026

You can delete your Spoor account and its data at any time, from inside the app or on the web. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

How to delete your account

  • In the app: in Spoor Hunt or Spoor Outfitter, open Me and tap Delete my account at the foot. You type DELETE and a 6‑digit code we email you, so nobody with your phone alone can delete your account. If you joined a trip with a code and have no account, the same place offers Delete my details from this trip.
  • On the web (no app needed): go to spoorhunt.com/delete-account, or email [email protected] from the address on your account with the subject “Delete my account.”

We may ask you to confirm the request by email so no one else can delete your account.

What gets deleted

  • Your account: your email, your name, and the business, country, and phone number on your plan
  • Your plans, and the sign‑in on every phone (each one is signed out)
  • Your private details on every trip: emergency information, mobile number, passport name, flights, hotel nights, booking references, and the messages sent to you
  • Trip photos you added that aren’t on a harvest or in the trip’s banner or price guide

A hunter’s own hunts, pins, tracks, journal, and photos in Spoor Hunt never reach us; they stay in the app on your phone until you delete the app.

What we keep, and why

Data Kept for Reason
Purchase and subscription records 7 years Tax and accounting law
Records of reports or rule violations 1 year Preventing banned users from returning
Your harvests, misses, bar tab, bill, swaps, and the trip’s other records of the hunt (such as pins, sight‑ins, and picture pages) on an outfitter’s trip, under your name As long as the trip is kept (until 90 days after its last day once the trip has ended) They are the outfitter’s record of the hunt, and the people on the trip settle up from them
The record that you accepted a trip’s terms (when, which version, from which phone and internet address) Until the trip is deleted The outfitter’s record of the trip’s terms
Your account’s id, its plans’ Stripe references, and a scrambled (hashed) copy of your email 1 year So a plan bought on spoorhunt.com can be cancelled, and a late payment can’t bring the account back
Backups Up to 14 days Deleted automatically as backups are replaced

Timing

Your account and the data listed under “What gets deleted” are deleted at once, and leave our backups within 14 days. Only what is shown in the table is kept.

Subscriptions are separate

Deleting your account cancels a plan you bought on spoorhunt.com at once, so it isn’t charged again; the rest of the period you paid for is not refunded. It does not cancel Spoor Hunt Pro billed through Apple or Google. Cancel that first in your App Store or Google Play settings (see Subscription & Refund Terms), or you may keep being charged.

Shared trips

Trips you joined: your private details go; your harvests and bill stay with the outfitter, as in the table.

Trips you run: a trip that is still to come or under way must first be handed over to another organizer or ended. An ended trip stays readable, but not changeable, for the people on it until 90 days after its last day; then it is deleted with its photos.
